On Tuesday, G Block / Wednesday, F Block you will perform a series of "Teaching Rounds"
You will be placed either into groups A , B, or C. The As will start the Teaching Rounds by teaching their lessons to the Bs and Cs.
Round 1: Each member of A will stand in a different corner of the room, and teach to a B and a C. When the timer indicates the two minute lesson is over, the Bs and Cs will switch to a new A. After the timer sounds, they will switch a third a final time to hear the last A teach.
In Round 2, the B’s will teach to an audience of As and Cs, and follow the same rotation above at each sound of the timer.
In the 3rd Round, the Cs will teach to the As and Bs.
After the teaching rounds are over, we will discuss the following debriefing questions:
- What were the most important things to consider when developing your teaching presentation?
- What happened as you repeated the presentation? Did you notice any changes in yourself or the presentation?
- What was it like being the student?
- What have you learned is necessary in creating a useful lesson?
